Elizabeth Crabb Breen received a B.S. in Clinical Science from San Francisco State University, and spent several years in a hospital clinical laboratory setting before turning her attention to research focusing on the human immune system. She has participated in research and teaching within the UCLA School of Medicine since 1985, and has shared her immunological expertise by teaching in the UCLA School of Nursing as well as at Loyola Marymount University, CSU Long Beach, UC Irvine, and USC. Since 2007, Dr. Breen has served as an Associate Professor in the Norman Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology, where she interacts with post-doctoral trainees and junior faculty in PNI, and oversees the perfomance of immunological laboratory assessments for a wide range of interdisciplinary projects including mind-body studies, HIV, and aging.
