Academic Titles:
Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Molecular & Medical Pharmacology
Bio:
Dr. Bensinger received his veterinary medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a thesis on regulatory T cell development and function in Dr. Laurence Turka’s lab. Dr. Bensinger then came to UCLA to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Peter Tontonoz examining the impact of lipid metabolism on lymphocyte function and adaptive immunity.
