Division: Pediatric Pain Program
Information: Provides developmentally sensitive evaluation of pain in infants, children, and adolescents. The program has chronic outpatient services for pain management that take into account the child and family's needs. The program has a special focus on chronic and recurring pain associated with complex medical disease or common problems such as recurrent abdominal pain, headache, and limb pain. The program's integrative approach to evaluation and management of pain problems include pediatrics, psychology, child psychiatry, social work, acupuncture, biofeedback, hypnotherapy, Iyengar Yoga, massage therapy, art therapy, and energy therapy. The Pain Program staff work closely with referring physicians.
