Program: Pediatric Epilepsy Program
Information: The Pediatric Epilepsy Program offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of infants and children with uncontrolled seizures. The program accepts referrals to differentiate seizures from non-epileptic events, clarify seizure type for improved medical management, and determine eligibility for surgical intervention for seizure control. The evaluation process may include continuous EEG and video monitoring; a positron emission tomography (PET) scan; a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan; somatosensory evoked potentials; and psychiatric, neuropsychological, and neurodevelopmental studies.
